If you, like me, have more apples than you know what to do with after going apple picking this season, I have the perfect recipe for you! This DELICIOUS granola uses fresh apples for the most amazing injection of fall flavor and couldn’t be easier to make. All of the ingredients can probably already be found in your pantry:
- Rolled oats
- Wheat bran
- Pumpkin seeds
- Sliced almonds
- Pecans
- Sunflower seeds
- Salt
- Maple syrup
- Brown sugar
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla extract
- Avocado oil
- Apples
Step-by-step directions:
Preheat your oven to 325°F.
First combine the oats, wheat bran, nuts, and seeds in a bowl and mix together.

Add in the diced apple and mix again until well combined.

In a smaller bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, oil, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt until well combined.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and use a spatula to thoroughly combine.
Transfer the mixture to a lined baking sheet and spread into an even layer.

Bake for 30-40 minutes, gently tossing every 10 minutes. Allow to cool for 30 minutes before transferring to an airtight jar or ziploc bag for storage.

Notes:
- The moisture from the fresh apples causes the granola to crisp up a little slower than usual, which is why the bake time is a little longer than usual.
- If you would like to make this without the apple, reduce your bake time to 20 minutes and mix halfway through the baking time.
