I am a huge fan of semi-homemade dishes. Not only are they incredibly easy to make- these are great introductory recipes for kids to learn how to cook!- but they make weeknight dinners an absolute breeze and are a great packed lunch option too.
Before we had kids, I made my marinara from scratch every time. No jarred pasta sauces were allowed in my kitchen! Post-kids, however, I have a very different approach to meals, especially pasta sauces. It’s so much easier to just buy good quality sauce! Using my favorite brand (Rao’s) makes the process of assembling pastas and red sauce-based dishes that much more enjoyable for me.
This Rosé Pasta is a favorite in our house, and guarantees that everyone will devour their dinner without any complaints. I usually serve this with a side of steamed broccoli (the only vegetable that my kids will eat with minimal groaning), but this would also be great with some green bean amandine or roasted brussels sprouts.
Give this a try and let me know what you think!
