Preheat oven to 350℉.
Use a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment to beat the butter and sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
Add the apple butter and milk and mix.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Add the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl and mix until just combined. The mixture will be thick!
Use a spatula to gently fold in the pecans.
Using an ice cream scoop, distribute the batter between the wells of a lined muffin pan.
Top with a sprinkle of turbinado sugar if desired and then bake for 22-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Enjoy!
