Apple Pastry with Cream Cheese Glaze

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 1-2 apples thinly sliced
  • Turbinado sugar

Cream Cheese Glaze

  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-3 tbsp milk

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F. 
  • Place the puff pastry sheet in a lined baking tray and press lightly to stretch it out slightly.
  • Add the apples in concentric circles, overlapping each layer as you add the next.
  • Fold the edges of the pastry over the apples and then brush with an egg or milk wash.
  • Sprinkle with turbinado sugar and bake for 15 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
  • While it bakes, mix together the glaze ingredients until smooth. 
  • Drizzle the glaze over the pastry and serve warm. Enjoy!
