Equipment

  • Stand Mixer

Ingredients

  • 10 tbsp salted butter
  • 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • In a saucepan over medium low heat, melt your butter and then add in the 1/2 cup of chocolate chips. Mix until everything is melted and we’ll incorporated.
  • Use the paddle attachment of your stand mixer to mix together the eggs and sugar. Mix in medium for 3-4 minutes or until the mixture is pale and fluffy.
  • With the mixer on low, add in the butter and chocolate mixture and the vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl, mixing until just incorporated.
  • Place the bowl in the freezer to thicken the dough, about 30-45 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Use a cookie scoop to create balls of dough and place on your lined baking sheet about 1” apart.
  • Bake for 10 minutes and allow to cool on the pan for at least 20 minutes before transferring to a rack.
  • Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy!
