In a saucepan over medium low heat, melt your butter and then add in the 1/2 cup of chocolate chips. Mix until everything is melted and we’ll incorporated.
Use the paddle attachment of your stand mixer to mix together the eggs and sugar. Mix in medium for 3-4 minutes or until the mixture is pale and fluffy.
With the mixer on low, add in the butter and chocolate mixture and the vanilla.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
Add the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl, mixing until just incorporated.
Place the bowl in the freezer to thicken the dough, about 30-45 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Use a cookie scoop to create balls of dough and place on your lined baking sheet about 1” apart.
Bake for 10 minutes and allow to cool on the pan for at least 20 minutes before transferring to a rack.
Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy!
