Mixed Nut Burfi

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup raw almonds
  • 1/2 cup raw cashews
  • 1/2 cup pistachios
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/8 tsp cardamom
  • 1 tbsp melted butter or ghee optional

Instructions

  • Blend the nuts into a flour-like consistency. A few larger pieces are fine!
  • Bring the heavy cream and sugar to a simmer.
  • Add the nuts and mix.
  • Add the butter and cardamom and fully combine.
  • Continue to mix over medium-low heat until the mixture thickens (you should be able to form a non-sticky ball with greased hands).
  • Transfer to a parchment paper-lined pan or tray and smooth out.
  • Decorate with sprinkles/chopped nuts/silver leaf and enjoy!!
